JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Client is Irelands Largest bookmaker and one of Ireland's fastest growing listed companies. They are seeking a part or fully qualified accountant with audit experience to join their Internal Audit team.

This is an exciting opportunity to get involved at a senior level in the security & audit of various parts of the company’s growing businesses. The right person will combine a mix of organisation & analytical skills, with the creativity and open thinking required to stay one-step ahead of potential fraudsters, and recommend improvements to controls in the business.

Overall Purpose of Job:

* Manage & perform security audits of Internet & telephone businesses
* Improve controls throughout the company by carrying out financial & procedural internal audits

Main duties & responsibilities:

* Security audits of non-retail channels, including:
* Sports-book
* Poker
* Casino
* Others such as games, bingo, auctions, financial spread betting, etc.
* Carry out special investigations as required
* Work with operational departments to improve preventative controls
* Financial audits
* Value for Money audits
* Business controls audits
* Procedural audits
* Policy & Procedure reviews
* Technology / access controls
* Industry regulation & compliance

Essential Competencies:

* Enthusiasm for fighting fraud
* Analytical
* Good organisational skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education & Experience:

* At least two years experience in a relevant role
* Part or fully qualified accountant. Alternatively, a qualification in business or law would be an advantage
* Knowledge of, or interest in the betting / gaming industry
* Experience of carrying out audits or fraud investigations
* Knowledge of report writers and query tools

The Salary for this position will be €45,000
