JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN OBJECTIVES

To contribute overall to the development and growth of Sepam including involvement in implementation & monitoring of a business plan for the company;
Ensures that management receive timely and accurate Management reports.
Assists in the definition and implementation of Financial Accounting & Commercial Policies, Procedures and Systems.
Ensures that all Third Party relationships are maintained in a professional manner;
Handles the payroll for the company

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY - Accounting Function within Sepam

Management of Costs and Maximisation of Profits.
Reviews commercial terms of contracts and reports on same
Ensures that company policy with respect to expense reimbursement is adhered to
Management Reports and Financial Accounting
Prepares monthly and year to date management accounts within 6 working days after month's end;
Prepares costing report;
Prepares cash flow every two weeks;
Prepares weekly list of debtors, creditors and sales;
Prepares an executive summary of monthly accounts together with the monthly accounts; and Prepares annual financial accounts and schedules for audit.

Policies, Procedures and Systems

Works closely with the Financial Controller in the formulation of financial and commercial policies and procedures for the company.
Ensures that polices are adhered to;
Provide exception reports to the Financial Controller and top management;
Assists in ensuring that policies, procedures and systems are updated.

Statutory Reporting.

Ensures all government and statutory reports are kept up to date and correctly prepared

Third Party Relationships

Develops positive relationships with all stakeholders of the company including creditors, banks, debtors, potential suppliers and clients.

Payroll

Handles the processing of the payroll for the company and answering any queries in this regard.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The Accountant reports to the Financial Controller.
Candidates with Middle East Experience, and Pegasus accounting experience an advantage.
