JOB DESCRIPTION:

Dutch Translator/Linguist wanted for leading Search Engine site. 3 month Contract. Our client the world's top Search Engine continues to expand its reach around the world, Their Localisation team makes the company's ideas and products look, feel and sound natural in every country where people use our services and products. They have been localised into more than 100 languages.

If you are an experienced Dutch translator with a creative, marketing or localization background then this role could be perfect for you.

Please note this position can be best in either Amsterdam or Dublin

Responsibilities:

* Form a critical part of the in-country "go-to-market" team with Marketing, Product and PR to drive localization of their products
* Edit and proofread all translated material, such as UI, online help, marketing material and outbound communication
* Work closely with the translation vendors and drive linguistic quality
* Shape the tone and voice across all website copy and content
* Assist in developing local language vocabulary for new features and products, including style guide and product-specific terminology

Requirements:

* BA/BS in your language of expertise or a related discipline.
* Experience as a translator, linguist or writer. Strong preference for experience in fiction, marketing/advertising translations and localization.
* Speak fluently and idiomatically in Dutch, as well as a high level of proficiency in English
* Deadline driven
* Detail-oriented and quality-focused
* Ability to work independently, as well as to work cooperatively with other resources

Salary Circa 28,000 pro rata but this can change depending on experience
