One of our main clients in the midlands seek to find an Electrician to work at their state of the art facility. Previous experience working in a food plant is a must for this position.
Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, this role demands flexibility and cross-functional liaison and co-operation. In addition the role requires the electrician to assist in the safe and efficient operation of maintenance systems in compliance with IMB and FDA standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
To maximise running time for all equipment by understanding on-line machine adjustment.
To carry out fault diagnostics and repairs to broken down plant. Keeping appropriate records.
Carrying out scheduled routine maintenance to plant.
Take required preventative action to ensure that plant does not break down.
Carrying out the installation of new plant and equipment.
To assist with any training required.
To assist with routine maintenance, work procedures, and electrical repair work on all machines.
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and GMP during maintenance work.
Requirments
· The ideal candidate will have experience in the meat / food industry
· Minimum 3/5 years experience as Maintenance Electrician.
· Safety & Environmental knowledge
· Working knowledge of on-line machine adjustment, fault diagnostics and installation
Qualifications:
· Electrical Senior Trade Certificate.
· Minimum 3/5 years experience as Maintenance Electrician.
