JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Results Areas:
- Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register and the Capital Expenditure Register on a weekly basis
- Responsibility for the set-up, maintenance and reconciliation of Finance Leases
- Responsibility for the arrangement of the purchase and sale of Fixed Assets.
- Reconciliation of the Debtors & Creditors Ledgers and production of Debtors & Creditors reports for Senior Management
- Assisting in preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Assisting in production of Annual Budgets and Annual Audit Preparation within areas of control.
- Responsibility for the reconciliation and control of Recharge Accounts, outside normal trade invoices
- Analysis and Control of specified Cost Centres and liaising with Department Heads to ensure costs are controlled
- Responsibility for Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Responsibility for the monitoring and control of Store Development LTA
- Assisting in implementation and documentation of improved financial controls and reporting, where necessary.
- Contribute to projects and systems developments as required.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required.



Qualifications required:
- Educational/academic: Part-qualified member of a recognised accountancy body.
- Practical / work experience: 2/3 years’ experience in a busy commercial accounting environment (preferably FMCG) with hands-on experience of reconciling complex accounts. Strong general IT skills, especially excel.
- Personal attributes: Open-minded, questioning approach, ability to see the big picture, tenacity in investigating problems and seeing issues through to resolution, good interpersonal and team-working skills.
