JOB DESCRIPTION:

JOB PURPOSE:

A leading international fund manager has a currently within its product control department which provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic professional. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analysing trading activity and ensuring accurate reporting in the firm's books and records. This role will suit an all-round team player who is willing to get involved in areas outside of their specific role and thrives on working in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging environment. It is an excellent opportunity to learn in a very evolving and often demanding function which will give the successful candidate superb exposure to debt markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analysis and verification of trading portfolio movements
Reconciliation of intercompany balances
Reconciliation of cash balances
Perform the month-end close for the business in accordance with the corporate timetable including reconciliation of GL balances
Develop effective working relationships with operations, technology and other finance department
Participate in systems implementations & group projects and preparation of management information reports
Ad-hoc Projects and queries resolution
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential:

Part/Fully Qualified accountant
Excellent spreadsheet skills
Control focused and strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Effective communication skills
