JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Client, Europe's leading car hire firm is seeking Swiss or German General Ledger Accountants to join the team. This role involves responsibility for the daily and monthly general accounting processes of a multinational headquarters.

Your key responsibilities in this role will be to:

* To gain an in depth understanding and knowledge of the accounting tasks, accounting treatment and reporting.
* To perform monthly calculations and entries for sundry accruals, inventories, prepayments and any other general accounting as required
* To manage monthly PO tasks including closure and accrual run
* Responsibility for monthly fixed asset run and related entries and closure
* To ensure that the relevant back up is provided to the Reconciliations team

Profile:

* As a Financial Accountant you will ideally be ACA or ACCA part qualified (or equivalent), IATI qualified and will possess good accounting experience ideally in a shared services environment.
* You must have at least an intermediate level of competence with Excel and a good understanding of all other packages in the Microsoft Office suite.
* With your good communication skills, you will be an accurate worker who can demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills – able to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
