JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the Role:

·The main objective is to ensure all product is produced to a consistent high quality, complying with customer specification and all applicable regulatory & statutory requirements.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·To ensure raw material delivered is within specification.
·To liase with suppliers if necessary.
·To complete raw material intake checksheets.
·To complete glass & Perspex audits.
·To complete daily cleaning checksheets & weekly environmental swabbing.
·To take samples of raw material for laboratory analysis.
·To take water samples for laboratory analysis
·To carry out daily production area temp checks.
·To ensure traceability is maintained from intake through production.
·To liase with production if any products are not been produced according to specification.
·To issue non-conformance reports when necessary.
·To use the Navision System for looking up prod recipes & specs
·Ensure the relevant production area is maintained to a high standard of GMP at all times.
·Ensuring quality standards are adhered to i.e. ISO 9001, BRC and Haccp at all times.

Effective person will demonstrate ability to:
· good team member & the ability to work on ones own initiative.
·Excellent communication skills.

Knowledge and Experience:
·A working knowledge of HACCP, BRC & ISO would be an advantage.
·Minimum 1 years experience in the food industry (preferably meat industry)


Qualifications:
·A Food Science & Technology or a Science Qualification an advantage
