They are currently looking for a Web Developer

Description:

Overall Purpose of Job:

Under limited supervision, providing development skills including unit testing and functional requirements gathering for all internal development tasks required to support the business.

Main duties & responsibilities:


* Working closely with the development manager and the business to deliver systems in accordance with the functional specifications
* Determining priority of calls and projects
* Analysis of issues and problem solving
* Carrying out other tasks as required
* Coordinating and communicating with other internal departments


Essential Competencies:

* Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven aptitude for Programming, System Analysis and Design is essential
* Ability to prioritise own workload and work to exacting deadlines
* Flexibility and adaptable in their approach to customer/business needs
* Must have release management experience
* Ability to work in a team environment and should have good communication skills
* Enthusiastic and structured approach to development
* Good problem solving abilities
* Desire to learn about new products and keep abreast of new product developments
* Strong written and verbal communications skills
* Must have the ability to conform with development/web standards



Education & Experience:


* Minimum of two/three years in a similar role
* Experience with some or all of the following:
* PHP, AJAX, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, mySQL, Actionscript
* Practical working knowledge of: Apache
* Experience working with Flash would be beneficial
