JOB DESCRIPTION:

Part qualified management accountant.



Our client is a private equity owned business, selling and marketing Frozen foods under a household name brand across the Republic of Ireland. The business was spun off from Unilever and is part of a new, private equity owned European business. The business is seeking to recruit a full time Management Accountant to support the Finance Manager and the sales and marketing team.


This role reports to:
Finance Manager.

Responsibilities to include the following:

• Maintaining control of the expenses and indirects budget.
• Maintaining control & liaise with marketing team re Advertising and promotional budget.
• Assist in the production of the monthly and weekly Management reports for the business and the group head office, including forecasting and variances against forecast, for sales, profit and cash flow.
• Assisting in the Reporting of Financial reports – CARAT Reporting pack
• Reporting of weekly sales results and analysing variances to forecast
• Assist in the financial / Promotional Analysis of new product lines
• Review and analyse the company’s profitability
• Ad hoc and project financial support to the marketing and sales team. This will include analysis of customer investment as well as involvement in new product launches.
• Assessing customer promotional activity – inputting and maintaining of Promotional Spend per Customer and LTA Agreements and resolving related queries.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Part qualified accountant (CIMA).
• Experience of promotional evaluation desirable.
• Able to work without constant supervision.
• Able to work under time pressure when necessary, with good attention to detail
• Able to work with a variety of people, including from outside finance
• Experience with SAP desirable, but not essential.
